They say that to fall in love is a rare thing—Janet and Dick have been lucky enough to do it twice. Their first love is each other, and their second is art. It all started in England, where the two sold beautiful terra cotta pots of all shapes and sizes, eventually expanding to include Zimbabwean stone sculpture as well. The sculptures began to take over the business as the Hamiltons bought more and more, meeting new artists and learning more about the trade along the way. Several years ago Dick and Janet returned home to Canada, settling near family in Pelham, and thus Hamiltons of Pelham was born! Today the shop boasts still the original terra cotta, antique and new, as well as a huge array of Zimbabwean art in stone, metal, and wood. The Hamiltons have taken on many Niagara artists as well, now carrying jewelry and other art. They have a deep love for all things creative, and would be ever so excited to share their knowledge and passion with you. Come visit!
